U.S. dollars are the most commonly used money, and you can find them almost anywhere. But, there are some places where the rand is still used as the currancy, this is about 0.06 of a U.S. dollar. Tipping is largly appriciated and helps a lot of people in the workforce, but sometimes restaraunts add a 10% tip to the bill, so make sure to watch for that.
