Climate & What to Pack
Humid Subtropical
Zimbabwe has a humid subtropical climate, this means there are 2 seasons, winter and summer. Summer is longer than winter. Summer temperatures are usually between 70 and 80˚F, so winer temperatures are usually not very cold at 45˚ to 50˚F.
Packing & When To Go
From November to April, it is the rainy season, so there will some rain. In the afternoons there will be thunderstorms, the storms can be beautiful, but be sure to bring a raincoat, and an umbrella.
From April to October is one of the best times to go, there are sunny and warm days, and then chilly nights. If you go then, be sure to pack shorts, along with short sleeve shirts for the day, then maybe a pair of pants at night.
From July to September it is the peak season. This means the chance of seeing wildlife will be at its maximum. This also is a great time to go to Zambezi. For swimming, canoeing, and rafting.
